Influences of different cultures merge together and afford a mesmerising touch to revivalist couture jeweller Roopa Vohra’s treasure trove. She is in Chandigarh with her jewels, looking more radiant than ever. Her collection, on display at the Capitol Hall, Taj -17, has her flagship Thewa work, exquisite naqaashi, royal Nilufer Hatun as well as her new Silver AJ collection.

More than anything else, the price of the garment is parallel to the popularity of the designer. A quick glimpse and there are a couple of sections to begin from — the westerns, the ethnic, the formals and a few bridal outfits. “When I had put up an exhibition in Delhi, I received a lot of requests from clients in Chandigarh. Based on that feedback, I put together this show for the first time in the city,” says the business head Gayatri Vasan.
