Never mind the play Piya Behroopiya that theatre thespian Atul Kumar brought to the Chandigarh Theatre Festival was based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Or the fact that he has just returned from South Africa after enacting out a solo performance of Nothing Like Lear once again inspired from King Lear.

Art transcends boundaries…and this enthusiastic bunch from Ishara Puppet Theatre Trust has witnessed it many a times. In city, to be a part of Chandigarh Theatre Festival on Sunday with play Kalpataru, they shared their take on Puppet Theatre, travelling around the world and working in close association with iconic Dadi Pudumjee.
