Students’ studies should not suffer, Pannu tells officials
Nawanshahr, September 23
The Director-General of School Education (DGSE), Kahan Singh Pannu, has directed the officials at the district level to provide service providers/volunteers in lieu of the teachers put on duty as the District Resource Persons (DRPs) and Block Resource Persons (BRPs) in different subjects so that the studies of the schoolchildren do not suffer due to it. 

Social worker awarded

Baba Budh Singh Dhahan, an octogenarian social worker, has been honoured with the fifth Bhai Nand Lal Goa Award at the annual Gurmat Samagam held at GND University, Amritsar, on Sunday. SGPC chief Avtar Singh bestowed upon the award to him for his relentless contribution towards providing better healthcare and education services to the rural people.

The Director-General of School Education (DGSE), Kahan Singh Pannu, has directed the officials at the district level to provide service providers/volunteers in lieu of the teachers put on duty as the District Resource Persons (DRPs) and Block Resource Persons (BRPs) in different subjects so that the studies of the schoolchildren do not suffer due to it. 

Pannu has also issued directions in connection with the timings of the DRPs and BRPs. While the teachers deputed as DRPs/BRPs for different components would work from 9 am to 5 pm at education offices, the teachers deputed as DRP/s BRPs as subject experts would work as per the school timings. — OC
