Deepti Gujral The model ramp
Jesse Randhawa, standing tall on the ramp in a sheer black and red couture creation by Varun Bahl, effortlessly eliminated the need for a Bollywood actor on the ramp recently. She could easily have been replaced by some other beautiful face from Bollywood — there was a deluge at Manish Malhotra's show Mijwan — but the rare moment reminded one of the time when models were the real stars on the ramp. Bring back a Mehr Jesia or a Madhu Sapre or a Malaika Arora to create some magic and there is every possibility others will follow suit. Jesse just did that!

Three times the celebrations
I have got back to Mumbai, just in time for Ganpati. Yes, he comes home this week. This week is a truly special one. Gannu Bappa, as I fondly call him, comes home and Heroine releases on September 21. Previews have started and there are super feedbacks but I am nervous and excited nonetheless. It's great to watch your film with friends and know the audiences' reactions. And then it's my birth day week too — September 25. It's a great day to feel special, pampered and loved by all those who care for you.

It is a known fact that height of an individual is a genetic asset and does add to ones persona. Some people take fair advantage of this "advantage" to be really stylish. Tall and debonair Jagmeshwar Singh Khela, a student of veterinary science, seems to belong to this category

Listen to this lullaby
Barfi! released recently and is on its success ride. Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D' Cruz have played their roles so well that the movie is a magical ride and the music too is wonderful, especially the track Aashiyan, which has childlike and chirpy lyrics. The lyrics have been written by Swanand Kirkire and the music is composed by Pritam. The vocals are by Shreya Ghoshal and Nikhil Paul George.
