There was a time when art lovers would run around arranging passes for MF Husain’s exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery. Fast forward to today’s times; most invites in the inbox come from artists displaying their work at cafes and popular restaurants. So, why is more art selling at eating joints rather than galleries and conventional art exhibitions? Is it because we tend to spend more time in a restaurant rather than an art exhibition or just because it is displayed better?

Bollywood actress Esha Deol doesn't want her businessman husband, Bharat Takhtani to turn to acting. "I had always said that I never wanted to marry a hero. He is a successful businessman and I hope he continues to be one. There is no need for him to become an actor," she said after the couple walked the ramp together for jewellery brand 'Azva' at the India Bridal Fashion Week 2012.

Brad Pitt Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt says he does not want to direct movies any more because he has more fun spending time with his kids. The 48-year-old actor, who has six children with long time partner Angelina Jolie, had previously said that he wanted to be a director when he turns 50, reported a publication. "It's too much effort. It's too big a job. I'd rather be a dad. It's more fun. Being a father has changed everything for me as far as perspective and interests go. I just want to take care of myself and be around them," he said.

Shoojit Sircar Just the right choice
There was a reason why director Shoojit Sircar decided to rope in fresh actors for Vicky Donor. He says he roped in Ayushmann Khurrana for Vicky Donor after a "star" refused to be a part of the film. "It was then that I decided, I shall have a complete fresh cast and crew for this film," Sircar said at a talk at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai. The film, based on sperm donation, also featured newcomer Yami Gautam. —IANS
