Fresh cloudburst kills nine in Uttarakhand

Nine persons were killed in a fresh cloudburst at Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district on Sunday morning.

Five deaths were reported from Kirara village, two from Timli and two from Dungar village. Rescue teams have not ruled out the recovery of more bodies.

With these deaths, the cloudburst toll in Rudraprayag district in the last two days has gone up to 45. Twenty-three persons are still missing and many are feared to be buried under the debris. A total of 460 families have been affected by the calamity.
