The Tribune remains unchallenged No.1 daily in the Region Chandigarh, June 15 The ABC net paid circulation figures for the period July-December 2011 puts The Tribune circulation in the region comprising the states of Punjab, Haryana (excluding the districts of Gurgaon and Faridabad), Himachal Pradesh and the Union Territory of Chandigarh at 3,27,664 copies. This is vastly more than the circulation figures of Hindustan Times (1,68,939) and The Times of India (1,20,760). In Punjab, The Tribune remains the clear market leader with a circulation of 1,59,902 copies, again far ahead of Hindustan Times (84,976) and The Times of India (24,517). In Haryana (excluding Gurgaon and Faridabad), The Tribune is on top. Its circulation is pegged at 64,759 copies, miles ahead of Hindustan Times (28,770) and The Times of India (37,531). In Himachal too The Tribune is the unchallenged leader of the hills. The latest ABC report puts The Tribune’s circulation at 46,027 copies, way ahead of Hindustan Times (4,121) and The Times of India (6,996). In the Union Territory of Chandigarh, The Tribune is again indisputably number one. It leads the English dailies with a circulation of 56,976 as compared to Hindustan Times (51,072) and The Times of India (51,716) .
