26 Badrinath pilgrims die in bus mishap

Dehradun, May 22
Twentysix persons were killed and 15 injured when a bus carrying Char Dham yatris fell into the Ganga at Byasi in Tehri district of Uttarakhand today.

The mishap occurred at 12.55 pm when the bus was on way to Badrinath from Rishikesh when the driver lost control over the bus at Byasi on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway and the bus fell into the Ganga.

A total of 26 persons died and 15 were injured till the reports last came in.

There were 45 passengers, including 20 women and four employees of roadways.
