Grappling with the problem of plenty and an acute shortage of space for storing wheat, the Union Government is all set to allow the export of 4-5 million tonnes of the foodgrain.

Three arrested for Sonepat law student’s gangrape
Sonepat, May 19
The police have arrested three of the four alleged accused in the case of the gangrape of a first-year student of an all-woman law university near here from Haridwar. The trio has been taken into five-day police custody. The victim, a teenaged girl from Delhi pursuing BA-LLB from Khanpur Kalan’s Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, alleged that she was abducted from near the varsity gate on May 16 by four men and then gangraped.

Girls outperform boys in ICSE, ISC results
New Delhi, May 19
Girls have once again outperformed boys in this year’s ICSE Class X and ISC Class XII examinations, the results for which were announced today. In all, 99.15% girls and 98.19% boys passed the ICSE exam, while 98.35% girls and 96.36% boys passed the Indian School Certificate (ISC) examination.
