A simple, dimpled approach...
Preity Zinta When it comes to Bollywood, the biggest challenge, other than being seen on the silver screen and parties regularly, is how to deal with rumours. Just about everyone in this industry, right from Big B to King Khan, Shah Rukh, had to once or even more than once spare their time to deal with rumours. While some take it in their stride and move on, others end up in a press conference (read Vivek Oberoi) and some like actors Preity Zinta smile and move ahead with grace as well as poise.

Noted lyricist Irshad Kamil’s recent play Bolti Deewarein addresses this very question. “We say love cheated us, but the fact is it’s us who are cheating love,” says Irshad, in Chandigrah for a play reading session organised by Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi on Thursday.

the ‘in’ side
Height of illusion
Rooms with low ceilings can pose a bit of a challenge while decorating. Don’t give up, there are a few tricks you can use to create an illusion of more ceiling height.
* Painting the ceiling a lighter colour or white will create an illusion of a higher ceiling. Another trick is to paint the first 3-4 inches of the ceiling surrounding the wall, the same colour as the wall, although tricky, it adds height to the walls. Yet another trick is to paint the walls and the ceiling the same colour.
