Ila Arun and Ishitta Arun Sea of vibrance
The world knows her as the voice behind the raunchy Choli Ke Peeche Kya. They probably also know her stellar acts in movies like Jodhaa Akbar and West is West, but singer-actor-composer Ila Arun who in her own words, "I am doing many things" is also a very serious theatre person. In Chandigarh with her play Mareechika, it's this passion that spills forth. So she and the famed Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen, on whose literary work Lady From The Sea her play is based, may seem like polarised extremes. But as the woman who has breathed a new life into Ibsen's tale, she stands proud.
