Freaky weather 

Fresh snow in Manali

The entire upper Manali region experienced fresh snowfall on Wednesday, while lower parts were lashed by rain. Tourists visiting Manali were pleasantly surprised to see a white blanket of snow covering the upper areas on the Manali-Rohtang Pass road. Reports said many areas in upper Shimla were severely affected by hail, affecting the apple crop.

Wheat stock damaged

Light to moderate rain lashed most parts of Punjab on Wednesday, delaying harvesting and causing loss to the wheat stock lying in the open in the grain markets. Showers accompanied by heavy-velocity winds had agriculture officials and farmers worried. 

Chill back in Valley

The Kashmir valley received incessant rainfall for the second consecutive day on Wednesday causing a dip in temperature. Srinagar received 16.6 mm rainfall till 5.30 pm on Wednesday The inclement weather conditions led to the cancellation of the Kargil Courier, which airlifts passengers from Jammu and Srinagar to the Ladakh region.
