New Delhi, March 23
In a major relief to students joining post graduate medical courses, the Supreme Court today allowed allotment of seats through online counselling to enable completion of the admission process in time and spare the candidates from the arduous task of traveling long distances.

A Bench comprising Justices Deepak Verma and KS Radhakrishnan passed the order on a bunch of petitions on the issue.

After allotment of seats, the candidates can join the allotted colleges and from there itself they would give their options to participate in further rounds of counselling.
