Fill vacant posts of nursing teachers: Assn to govt

Jalandhar, March 15
The Punjab Government Nursing Teachers’ Association demanded from the state government to fill vacant posts of nursing teachers in various nursing schools. The demand was made in a recently-held meeting of the association at School of Nursing at Civil Hospital in Jalandhar.

During the meeting, the association also elected its new executive members. Saroj Bala (Nursing school, Hoshiarpur) was elected as its president of the association and Asha Sharma (School of Nursing, Amritsar) waselected as vice-president.

Gubaksh Kaur (School of Nursing, Jalandhar) and Prabhjot Kaur (Nursing School, Bathinda) were elected as its secretaries. Lakhbir Kaur (School of Nursing, Jalandhar) was elected as treasurer of the association.

Charanjit Kaur (School of Nursing, Amritsar), Manjit Kaur (Nursing School, Bathinda) and Krishna Prashar (School of Nursing, Jalandhar) were elected as assistants to the elected members.
