Love aaj kal: Mumbai girl looks for lover in Rohtak village Rohtak, February 14 This is how Sunita (23), a Mumbai Municipal Corporation employee, tells her story. Sanjay, an Indian Air Force corporal, was posted in Pune and frequented the corporation headquarters for office work. There they met in May, 2010. Soon the relationship grew into a torrid affair. “Last year in March, I had to go for an abortion when Sanjay told me that marriage was impossible as he had some problems at his home,” she said. Soon, Sanjay informed her that he had been married to another girl. At Ajaib village, Sunita has found sarpanch Nirmala (32) to lean on. “I and the gram panchayat would extend all help to the girl as she appears to be a victim of injustice,” said Nirmala. “Sunita can live with me as long as she wants to,” said the young sarpanch. Meham police station SHO Ramkishan said the girl had informed him of the FIR lodged by the Mumbai police in the case. “We’ll fully support the investigating officials if the Mumbai police contacts us’’ he said, adding at present the local police was unable to do much. Sunita says Sanjay had emotionally cheated her. “How can he marry another girl when he was in relationship with me and fathered an unborn baby?” said Sunita. Sanjay has denied allegations. He said they were just friends and had no physical relationship. Charging the girl with blackmailing him, he said he was ready for a paternity test. “I’m ready for any legal action,” Sanjay said.
