Facing the prospect of another round of  logjam in Parliament this time round the Opposition seeking the resignation of Home Minister P. Chidambaram, the government today came out in defence of the former Finance Minister alleging that the BJP-led NDA was attempting to "foist"  culpability on him in the 2G scam.

10-day police custody for AMRI directors
Kolkata, December 10
Six of the seven arrested directors of the AMRI hospital, where 91 persons mainly patients choked to death after a fire, were today remanded to 10-day police custody by a court here, as the defence counsel alleged that he was not allowed to move bail.
