A former auditor today challenged the very basis of the 2G Spectrum scam and termed as a “mathematical guess” the presumptive loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore which CAG estimated in his performance audit of the Spectrum allocation.

Bankers to the cash-strapped Kingfisher airline today asked its promoters to infuse Rs 800 crore worth of fresh equity if they are to consider a second restructuring of the existing debt as opposition mounted to any bailout of the private carrier.
