Listen to the rain!

Hindustani classical music has created the most poignant compositions about the rainy season. These have been set to ragas that conjure up a wide range of rich emotions-majestic (veer rasa), yet full of pathos (karuna), joyful (sringar), yet plunged in loneliness (viraha-sringar).

Madding crowd
If sources are to be believed, Kareena Kapoor is a tad miffed with Katrina Kaif being part of Bodyguard and Priyanka Chopra being part of Ra.One. She is very clear about doing solo heroine films and her rivals have a cameo and/or song in both the potential blockbusters.

Work-in-progress!
Bodyguard is releasing this Eid which means two weeks later. The film is still being shot. Salman is shooting 14-16 hours a day and everybody is super-motivated to complete the film in time for its release. The song promos are on air and promotions will begin next week. It is a given that it will be a blockbuster ala Dabangg and Wanted which also released on Eid.

Ebony and ivory
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian, who will marry rocker Kris Humphries on August 20, has reportedly asked the wedding guests to wear black or white colours for her marriage. Kim, who will wear a Vera Wang gown for her marriage, does not want to 'blend in' with friends and family at the ceremony. "Kim knows better than anyone how to stay dramatic and there is no way she would let herself blend in with everyone else at her wedding by wearing a white dress," a website quoted a source as saying.

Selena GomezOnce bitten, twice shy
Actor Selena Gomez, who is said to have parted ways with teen pop sensation Justin Bieber, has vowed never to change herself for a guy again. "I wasn't myself for a year. I think I had to go through it because now I'm the strongest I've been. I dare someone try and change me again," she added.

Pancake problem
Last week, there was a story about Katrina and Anushka fighting over a make-up man. At a recent interview, Katrina said, "I have met Anushka and she is a lovely girl who is just starting out. I have been in the industry for a while. I am not asking that people should glorify me but I expect them to give me a certain amount of respect. I understand if somebody sees me with a guy and writes stories but I have no idea where the make-up story came from. I think I am well-behaved."

Not so good, not so bad
The reviews for Aarakshan have been average and the movie hasn't really hit the mark. Deepika couldn’t save the film. It has been a disappointment. Watch it, if you must, for Amitabh Bachchan.
