Winsome twosome: Kate and Alice Name is the game!
More than the genre of music they play; more than their background, even more than their experiences around the world, it's their onstage name that people get inquisitive about. Kate and Alice, celebrity DJs from Russia introduce themselves as Rich-Bi**h! And when they do that, they are asked to reconfirm. "It's fun to see people react to our onstage name and our purpose of choosing a wacky one like this is justified,” says Kate, who was in Chandigarh with Alice to mix music at Kava on Saturday night. Kate adds that in for a DJ, it's important to get registered with people. "Rich Bi**h helps us do that. If we had introduced ourselves in the club culture by our actual names, it wouldn't have been the same." But then do music lovers take them seriously?
