CBSE Class X results out, 98.74% pass

In what comes to the fore as its best performance in the past decade, the Central Board of Seconday Education’s Panchkula region has registered an all time-high pass percentage of 98.74, this year in the All India Secondary School Examination.

A whopping 99.3 per cent girls passed as compared to 98.4 per cent boys.

The region’s Kendriya Vidyalyas are on top with a registered pass percentage of 99.05, while Navodya Vidyalyas are at second position with 98.82 per cent.

While government schools have registered 98.84 per cent pass percentage, the figure stands at 98.71% for private schools.

In a departure from practice, students’ marksheets this year will be a simple one page record. It will consist of more pages with details of continuous evaluation throughout the academic session. Also, there is no single topper and students in a graded group have topped the exam.
