Lights, camera…Down South!
Rajnikant will be seen in a triple role in his upcoming flick, Rana. Deepika Padukone will play the female lead. Sonu Sood will be seen in a negative role. Hold on, there is a catch here. The actor, who began his career with Punjabi film Shaheed-e-Azam and went on to give hits like Dabangg, Jodhaa Akbar and Singh is Kinng, will be seen in the biggest film (read Rs 200 crores) of Kollywood! Change of language, region, to some extent culture, Sonu has adapted to them all. "Not just Tamil, I have also done Telugu and Kannada films, which I believe have helped me become a better actor," says Sonu, who began the trend for Punjabi actors. Then followed Neeru Bajwa, Surveen Chawla, Jonita Doda, Sudhanshu Pandey and Sudeepa Singh. Switching cinemas isn't that simple; these actors do their homework really well before moving Down South. Surveen, who began her film career with a Tamil flick, takes a few days off in Chennai before commencing the shooting schedule. "I don't want to look like a dialogue delivering machine on the screen and for that I roam around in Chennai, interact with a lot of people, just to get the feel of the place and the culture." Although dubbing takes off a lot of pressure, she feels it's always better to know at least the basics. "It requires double the time to rehearse the lines. The lip sync has to be perfect, which is possible only if the lines are mugged up by heart," says the actor who's is celebrating the success of her Punjabi film, Dharti. Even if an actor doesn't know how to speak the language, it's important to understand the meaning of the dialogues. "How else will an actor be able to emote well? Emotions and language are correlated," feels Kulraj Randhawa, who has signed a Tamil film. She says that the key to success in the cinema Down South is in understanding their culture. "I would never want the audience to say that she doesn't know how to act because she is from North India." And when actors are working in two regional cinemas, comparisons are but natural. Shiraz Khan, who was first seen in Channa Sachi Muchi, has after a single project in Punjab moved Down South. "Kollywood offers huge exposure, which isn't the case with Punjabi films. Here, the location would shift from a city in Punjab to Vancouver or Edmonton in Canada, but sky is the limit in the case of South Indian films." She is presently shooting for the film, Garuda in the jungles of Kerala. "We need to be open to experiments in our movies," says Shiraz. Interestingly, demand for female actors is far more. Admits Jonita, who has done a number of South Indian films, "Movie-makers of South India prefer North Indian faces for their white skin and sharp features. Since most of their movies are male-dominated, they can't take a risk with the male lead. The audience too likes pretty faces from North India," she says. Sonu Sood, however, is an exception. Not to mention, he has also won a Filmfare Award Down South. As for where cinema Down South scores, he says, "They are technologically advanced, have brilliant cameramen, make movies on subjects that have a universal appeal. Punjabi movies need to have all this, otherwise the future is bleak." And are there any better examples than the sci-fi — Robot! ashima@tribunemail.com |
Singhs are kings
Hotel Mountview-10 was a virtual fortress, even as the golden boys of Indian cricket — Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh — entered for a felicitation ceremony on Monday. And they were at their charming best, mingling with the crowd and posing for fans, with the bouncers maintaining a strict vigil. Cool dude
Dressed in a red t-shirt and matching glares, Yuvraj Singh comes across as a fun-loving cricketer. "It took some time to assimilate the win. In fact, I am still on a high," says Yuvraj, the Man of the Tournament in the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Next milestone? "It's Test cricket that I want to concentrate on. I am yet to make a mark there," he says. Albeit his profession takes him around the world, it's Chandigarh that Yuvraj lists as his favourite place to spend holidays. Lucky charm? "Has to be my mother," he says. Quickly follows the next, the woman in your life? Would it be someone that mamma approves or your love? "For this you will have to wait and watch," he smiles. What is Yuvraj looking forward to in personal life? "For me it's cricket. It's my profession as well as centre around which my personal life revolves," he answers hurrying to catch some flight, we overhear! Witty best
Harbhajan Singh, a dude in his own right, dressed in a pleasant checked shirt, was at his witty best as he started his interaction with media. "Yuvraj and I have been neighbours in hotels, and I guess now we can make houses next to each other, courtesy Pearls Group that has given us plots now," says Harbhajan on being felicitated by Pearls, leading real estate and infrastructure giant. Being one of the most eligible bachelors of the country, when would he settle down? "Plot mil gaya hai, ghar bana lain, phir bas bhi jayega (Got the plot, will make a house and then will bring the bride)," says Bhajji, as the gathering bursts into a laughter. Wondering why everyone is more concerned about his wedding than himself, ('same situation' seconds Yuvraj) Harbhajan doesn't find it right for people to peep into his personal life. "I don't ask people personal questions, then why I am being asked," he questions. But then you are a star! "Everybody is a star in his own right. Everyone is contributing to the society in one way or the other. Just like everyone else, I also have the right to protect my personal life," he says. Also, troubled at a match-fixing query, Bhajji shoots back, "I am not talking about something that doesn't exist in my book of life. And, I pray not to be asked on this again." As for Symonds, did Sachin Tendulkar help them be friends? "We have been friends always. Whatever happened, I finished it on the field only. We have a good rapport as we play together. Don't know for this, but, yes, Sachin is a great guy to be around. He has helped in many ways," says Harbhajan. Next goal? "Win another world cup for India," he says, even as he breaks for lunch amidst his fans, all smiles, casually hugging his admirers as he poses once

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has been named the world's top earning model by Forbes for the seventh straight year. Bundchen has been topping the list since 2004. Her income this year was $45 million, an increase by a whopping $20 million. In second place was German model Heidi Klum, who earned $20 million through her recent partnership with Amazon.com and launching her own clothing line with sportswear brand New Balance. CHIPskates beware!
Now, think twice before helping yourself to a free hotel towel or bathrobe. Three hotels in Honolulu, Miami and New York City have begun using towels, sheets and bathrobes equipped with washable radio frequency identification tags to keep guests from snagging the coveted items.
The chip comes in the wake of petty thefts of luxurious linens, which are gouging the hotel industry to the rude wake-up call of approximately 100 million dollars a year. Linen Technology Tracking has partnered with Fluensee AssetTrack to optimise and oversee the implementation of this linen-tracking initiative. "Our relationship with Fluensee allows us to easily scale our capability to serve the growing needs of our customers," the Discoevery News quoted Executive Vice President at Linen Technology Tracking, William Serbin as saying in a press release. "Through the utilisation of RFID technology we are providing companies with the unique ability to better control their operating costs and investment in assets critical to satisfying the needs of the hotel guests," he added.

Excellence Hitting a Driver long is one of the greatest thrills in golf. The hottest selling Drivers are the ones that promise the greatest distance. While buying a golf club accuracy seems to be a secondary factor. With the increase in the length of the shaft, which became possible with the development of lighter materials like graphite, the club head speed has increased a lot resulting in greater distance with the Drivers. For the longer hitters Par 5's have become too short and easily reachable in two strokes. Apart from technology, the ability to generate club head speed by the player is the key to distance. The highest club head speed coupled with a square clubface and an 'on centre' strike result in the longest shots.
Speed is produced by the fast movement of the arms supported by a good rotation of the body. Some players feel that the arms initiate the swing and the body responds to the arms and others feel that the body moves first followed by the arms. Whatever may your feeling be, the body or the shoulders turn approximately 90 degrees with the hips turning half of that i.e. 45 degrees. This brings the weight behind the ball and a coiled position to begin the downswing. The backswing is done by the upper body - shoulders and arms - with a resistance from the lower body and legs. To feel this move and train the muscles - hold a shaft across the shoulders and feel the shoulders turn on the backswing, so that the shaft points behind the ball. The right knee must maintain its flex and not straighten. Make sure that you do not sway or move laterally. Maintain the spine angle and you will see that the shaft will point to an area approximately 4 feet outside your ball to target line. A good shoulder turn is essential to load up to hit it long. From the top of the backswing feel the lower body -hips and legs start the downswing by turning to the target followed by the turning of the upper body. Practice with the club across the shoulders and finish completely on your left side and hold your balance. His cup of Tee
Every person has a unique sense of style. Yet, there are only a few who'd attract a second glance or make heads turn. The magic could lie in tousled hair or even in torn jeans! This week's face in the crowd, Imranjot Singh Sekhon, a student of medicine and a pass out of The Lawrence School, Sanawar, is an unabashed brand addict. Your sense of style is… It is highly casual and sporty. My wardrobe consists of a majority of tees, in almost every colour. I'm basically a jeans and tee guy. Latest addition in your wardrobe… A Burberry shirt..it is a plain black shirt with just the logo on it. Brand freak or street junkie? Definitely a brand freak. Choose a look: sporty, glamorous or chic Sporty, for sure. My style icon would be… I admire Cristiano Ronaldo for his sense of style both on field and off the field. As it is he's a soccer player and plus he dresses so well. So who’s the worst dressed celebrity around? Mark Zuckerberg. His look might be popular with some, but to me his loose hanging shirts and jeans stand for ill-fitted clothes. One fashion trend you just don't understand… Ripped jeans. In my opinion, they look a little cheap. Your take on accessories My philosophy is minimum is the most. For me accessories mean just a chain, my gold kara and a Rolex watch. One thing that boosts your confidence: Gym. A session at the gym keeps me fit and boosts my confidence like nothing else. Thumb Satish Narula Once a floriculturist had said that he would not visit a garden where there were no butterflies. Well yes, the butterflies are welcome but what about the bugs? Let us talk about the mango mealy bug, as this is the time when it is visible in your garden. Their very presence is repulsive and the disoriented insects enter houses. Any accidental crushing leads to a yellow spot that sustains till the next year. We get to hear a lot of complaints that 'the insects have suddenly appeared in the garden'. The slow movers can be seen invading the house and the garden. They are about a centimetre long and off-white in colour. Most of these can be seen on the trees. Those who are more curious want to know almost everything about the insect. Very true, to check invasion and kill the insect, it is important to know about it in detail. It is not that these insects have appeared suddenly. They were there in your garden, on the trees since mid December. At that time they were hardly a millimetre big and were of dirty brown colour. The nymphs at that time emerged from the soil to climb up the trees following their natural instincts. They congregated at the twig terminals to suck sap to devitalise it. At that time you had also wondered as to why there was drying of twigs and premature fall of flowers. One of the contributing factors in this anomaly was this insect only. Sumptuously fed and fat, one centimetre long insects now start crawling down as the temperature rises. The crawling creatures are the gravid females. They cannot fly. They are fertilized by red coloured male, which can fly. This is the time when they reach the base of the tree, enter the soil and lay eggs. Some of these may also do so in the tree cracks and cervices. The disoriented insects crawl in the garden, climb up the walls and also enter houses. This is the time when you can kill them. Sprinkle methyl parathion powder around the tree trunk where the soil is also compacted a little. The insects when they come in contact with the chemical die instantly. The other time when the insect could be effectively controlled is in the month of December. (Narula is a Chandigarh-based horticulturist) |
HEALING the spirit
While Ludhiana people are known to party hard, there is also a flip side. Many are embracing spirituality during the day and taking to various modes of meditation. Shivani Chowdhary, member of Soka Gakkai Foundation (SGI), says daily chants give her a lot of energy. "It is entirely about creating happiness inside and around yourself. You actually chant for positive energies," she says. She strongly believes in Regression Therapy, a kind of alternative healing that works on the simplification of the thoughts in the sub-conscious mind, for treating ailments in the body. Adds Deepika Nayyar, who's been into meditation since many years, "Meditation means silencing the mind, moreso it is about emptying the mind of all thoughts, wanted or unwanted.” Her friends say Deepika's house has really serene vibes. Citing a very apt example she says, "When you live ordinarily, life is like being in a traffic jam where you fret and fume. But when you connect with your breath, you work on the level of consciousness. You feel you are atop a high-rise building, visualising the traffic jam from above. " Rajani Verma, an ardent follower of the Art of Living discipline, feels every human being has a few lessons to learn in life and nature inevitably puts him in such situations that compel him to learn. "When you focus on your breath, the basis of life, as in Sudarshan Kriya, you connect to the divine. Your breath gives all the answers. As you listen to your intuition and follow that, you are following your heart's call and that is surrender. Surrender is the mantra for a blissful life," she says. Arun Sharma, an ardent follower of meditation practices since eleven years, has been attending various discourses on concentration and meditation in the US. He envisions a new kind of human being - one whose feet are firmly on the ground and yet whose hands can reach the stars through spiritual rebirth. Ajay Nayyar, another local, says though he’s been into meditation since a few months, it helps one de-stress. He's been into courses like Landmark and Art of Living. |
Kolhapuri chappals, Rajasthani juttis, platform shoes, flat thong sandals... here are some fabulous footwear that will ensure you are not only comfortable in the scorching Indian summer but also stepping out in style. “Taking into account the fact that footwear is no less important than garments, it is essential to choose a right pair. It's an open secret that women are obsessed with shoes, but selecting a right pair while keeping in mind the personality and season is the most difficult task," accessory designer Sonal Chavan said. “A nice pair of footwear can make a difference when it comes to your physique, posture as well as style so they need to be given a lot of thought if you want to look amazingly stylish,” she added. With summer in our midst, markets are flooded with a variety of options to choose from, with some of the most sought after designs being the flat-thong sandals, platform shoes and Kolhapuri chappals. "Keeping in mind the scorching summer season of India, college-going girls and working ladies find it difficult to step out from their home in a sexy pair of stilettos. So, Kolhapuri chappals and flat-thong sandals are the most in demand because of their comfortability factor and affordable pricing," designer Purvi Khurana said. She added: "Also, to cover up your feet, platform shoes look absolutely divine. They not only offer a slimming effect but also a great amount of comfort due to the platform heels. For me, these shoes are the best example of comfort and design." The traditional Kolhapuri chappals and Rajasthani jootis can be worn both in office and outside and are elegant, fashionable choices. Kolhapuri chappals are available in various sizes, patterns and colours with some of the traditional designs like Kachkadi, Bakkalnali, and Pukari being the most in demand. Also, these are probably the only type of footwear which can effectively carry off any design without looking awkward. “We deal with Kolhapuri chappals and Rajasthani juttis and girls are crazy for such footwear. Some are so fascinated that they purchase almost a dozen pairs matching their dress type. “They are so light weight that anyone can carry them. They can be worn for both casual purposes and party wear. The chappals and juttis adorned with gold cord, zari strips, pom poms or gota are perfect for special occasions like weddings and parties,” said a shop owner at Delhi Haat. One can easily get these footwear for a price range between Rs 150 and 400. “I am not a hardcore brand person and this is the reason why I roam around the street markets to get the latest pick. Chappals can be tied around the ankle or have a loop,” says socialite Divya Khurana. — IANS |
BOLLYWOOD GOSSIP Hair and how Sonam Kapoor
My mom takes care of my hair and she does not allow me to do any experiment with it. I tie it in braids when I go to sleep as that way hair doesn't rub in the bed. My suggestions, oil it well, go for a hair treatment once in two months, especially a massage and don't colour them or blow dry them daily. It's summer, so please do tie them. Lara Dutta
I like it keeping short, especially in the summer. It's been a long time that I am keeping my hair short. Avoid using chemical products and chemical treatment as it actually damages your hair. I would suggest oil your hair twice a week and wash them and cover your head with a scarf if going out in the sun. Priyanka Chopra
I love to keep it short in the summer so that the hair doesn't irritate me. But it's best if one can tie it high as a ponytail. We (actresses) have to do various hairstyles for various shoots and events, so we know how much we torture our hair. But
whenever I am at home and off from the shoots, I love tying it. And don't use chemical products. Sarah Jane Dias
I love to wear my hair loose and wavy, without too many styling products. Sonal Chauhan
I have always had long thick hair. But I can't leave it loose in this sweltering heat. So, I love to tie my hair back into a tight ponytail. It's clean and fuss-free. It's also a great time to bring out the pretty hair bands and scarves to experiment with. I'm also a big fan of the loose braid. It's very boho chic. |
Actress Dia Mirza might not be an active social worker, but she is voicing her opinions on various causes. She is associated with humanitarian projects and for all this the former beauty queen gives credit to Shabana Azmi, her role model. "She is my role model not because she is an activist, but because she was the one who once told me to be a citizen of the country first and then a daughter and a mother. Hence, this is what I am following and have been trying my level best to give something back to society," Dia, who played Shabana's daughter in Tehzeeb, said. "If my celebrity status helps in generating attention to the cause, then why not? If I feel for the cause, I do try to support it," added the 29-year-old, who is brand ambassador The Body Shop. In the past, she has worked extensively with the government of Andhra Pradesh to spread HIV awareness and prevent female foeticide. She is also involved with the Cancer Patients Aid Association and the Spastics Society of India. She ventured into acting after modelling -- she was the second runner-up at Femina Miss India in 2000 and went on winning Miss Asia Pacific in the same year. She made her Bollywood debut the next year with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein and has worked in movies like Deewanapan, Dum, Dus and Cash, among others. Dia has also launched production house Born Free Entertainment along with her friend and co-star Zayed Khan and their first production, Love, Breakups and Zindagi, is almost 80 per cent complete and features the actress in the lead role. "We won't be following any genres, but will be more focused on making quality movies. We want to make movies that we have always believed in and I wish I was part of such cinema. Once the movie is released, you will see the quality and integrity," she said. So, how was the experience of being a producer and an actor? "Well, it is a tiring experience because you are not just the actor, it is like your baby and you have to look into other aspects as well. But a lot of learning was involved. Hope you all like the movie," she said. So, when will we get to hear the wedding bells? "Not very soon," she replied. — IANS |
Former Bollywood actress Tania Zaetta's troubles seem to be unending. Though she is reportedly set to get a clean chit in a case of alleged drunken misbehaviour, the model's charity is facing closure following a probe into "illegal" fund-raising. The TV presenter, who is a familiar face in India thanks to appearances in films like Salaam Namaste and Bunty Aur Babli, was arrested on March 21 at a Surfers Paradise night club and booked for creating public nuisance and obstructing police. She had denied both charges during a court appearance in April and her lawyer Chris Nyst said that after watching the CCTV footage of the incident, he expects her to be given a clean chit. But the 41-year-old actress' charity 'Peace For Children' will close down following a probe by Queensland Office of Fair Trading. The investigation was initiated after it was revealed it was not a registered charity. It has focused on $ 22,000 raised last December during two events on the Gold Coast, where the charity auctioned a signed and framed Michael Clarke Ashes 2010 shirt and a tennis racquet signed by Pat Cash. The charity's solicitor Clinton Smith today said an audit of the organisation's funds by IPS Audit showed $ 3030 had been donated to charity, before Zaetta had learnt of "an oversight" in the registration of the charity."T his was an oversight on Tania's behalf. The charity is a charity. It wasn't registered under the Collections Act to raise funds and that was an oversight. Zaetta had all the accounts audited and she voluntarily went to the Office of Fair Trading," Smith said. Smith has denied reports he would join Zaetta in forming a new charity, saying Peace for the Children would cease to exist once the investigation was complete. He said the charity's remaining $11,273 in funds would be given to an existing "completely separate" charity. "Peace for the Children won't reform, all the assets of the charity will be given to another charity to continue on with the same projects,” he said. — PTI |
Hollywood superstar Jennifer Aniston has launched a new perfume range named after her. The former Friends star appeared in a bright orange Vivienne Westwood dress at the launch at New York's Sephora department store. Aniston greeted fans and later signed bottles for them at the promotional event. The perfume is described as having light notes of jasmine, amber, lily and sandalwood, which the star says reminds her of days at the beach in her native California. “I consider the scent of the ocean to be one of life's most uplifting sensual experiences. The combination of the salty air and tropical oils reminds me of long sunny days on the beach - pure happiness," Jennifer said in a statement upon the release of the fragrance. Hollywood hell-raiser Lindsay Lohan is sporting fangs in a exhibition of her photographs clicked by good friend Tyler Shields titled Life Is Not A Fairytale. The 24-year-old actress posed for the shots with Vampire Diaries actor Michael Trevino who is shown biting her neck. "Lindsay loves vampires. It's well documented that she is a vampire fan, and I said we need to do the craziest vampire shot ever," Shields said. During the shoot, Lohan was thrilled to dress up like a vampire. "She's an amazing actress, I've shot Lindsay probably 20 times and nobody has seen any of it. This is the first little taste," Shields said. — PTI Hollywood hunk Bradley Cooper thinks that sequels should follow the same formula as the original movie in order to be successful. The actor is pleased that The Hangover Part II follows the same formula as the first movie, which went on to be a worldwide hit. The 36-year-old actor is all set to reprise his role as Phil Wenneck in the forthcoming sequel - which sees a group of friends head to Thailand for a bachelor party which gets out of hand. He thinks it is more likely to be a hit because the plot is similar to that in the 2009 film, which saw the men trying to piece together the events of an evening celebrating the final single days of a friend in Las Vegas. — PTI I am SRK’s lucky mascot: Hrithik
Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, who cheered on Shah Rukh Khan's team Kolkata Knight Riders against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL match last Saturday, believes that he proved lucky for King Khan's team. Hrithik had shot till 4 am for his upcoming film Agneepath the previous night but he did not want to miss the experience of watching a cricket match in a stadium for the first time. "It was my first-ever experience of watching a live match in India. The excitement was palpable. I was here to cheer for SRK's wife Gauri, who was under tremendous pressure. I had promised her we would win if I came. I am glad that it turned out a happy day," said the 37-year-old actor. He said he was happy to become the lucky mascot for Shah Rukh and Gauri that evening. Kolkata Knight Riders beat Chennai Super Kings by ten runs under the Duckworth Lewis method. — PTI Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has revealed that she was nervous about how her adopted children would react to new animated movie Kung Fu Panda 2, because the story follows the main character's search for his biological father. Box Ekta’s act Producer Ekta Kapoor has now turned an actress. Only a few days back, she put on the greasepaint for eight hours to shoot a special episode of C.I.D. (Sony TV) in which she plays herself. Ekta is known to detest making appearances on chat shows and serials despite a flurry of offers from broadcasters but she made this truly a rare exception to promote her keenly anticipated Ragini MMS. The theme of the special episode is Ragini MMS and is likely to be telecast on May 13, when the sensuous paranormal thriller releases nationwide. When Kapoor reached the sets to shoot, she bumped into a number of unit members and actors, who had began their career with Balaji years back. "It was nice to see a string of familiar faces. They were so nervous to shoot with me," laughs Ekta. Asked if she would make more appearances on television, she snaps, "No, I have only done this for Ragini!" Having managed a coup of sorts, Sony TV has planned a major promotional campaign around Ekta's appearance on C.I.D to promote Ragini MMS. — HRM |

Working hard 24x7 for the serial has made time a luxury for this 20-something girl. Read on to know her fundas to de-stress and chill out. How do you de-stress? I de-stress by spending time with my loved ones. When you meet people you love and are comfortable with, all your stress and tension of the day simply vanish. I feel my tiredness just goes once I reach home. What do you do for leisure? I shop for leisure. I also feel shopping gives me a great kick. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, sleeping, watching movies, eating out especially delicious non-vegetarian food. I love chicken and fish. How do you pamper yourself? I go for spa treatments regularly and if I am strapped for time, I have a lady masseuse who comes home and gives me a full body massage with olive oil for 2-3 hours. It simply relaxes me and I find myself in another orbit. (Smiles) What are your hobbies? Dancing and watching TV, which I hardly get the time to do these days. I used to enjoy riding horses and did so for three years before I started acting. I also used to enjoy pottery but again spare time is a bonus for me. I hardly get to indulge in my hobbies. What are your favourite dishes? I love tandoori dishes and all dishes cooked with chicken. I also love fried fish. In vegetarian items, I love spring rolls and anything that my mom cooks. She is a brilliant cook and I hog all that she makes. Can you cook? I can cook a basic meal daal, rice, sabzi and roti. I manage cooking and my best dishes are chicken tikka and cheese omelette. I put on a sexy outfit and hit the dance floor. What are your favourite films? I am a big Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor fan. All their movies are my favourites. I loved Dabangg and Jab We Met. Where do you shop? I like shopping in Bandra and Lokhandwala in Mumbai often. I am not brand conscious and believe whatever you wear, you should be able to carry it off well. If you wear a brand but it doesn't suit you, what's the point? What do you like to shop for mostly? Short skirts, tube tops and one-piece dresses. My wardrobe is full of such clothes but I never feel I have enough. What is the craziest thing you bought? During my recent expedition to Switzerland, I bought 29 different varieties of lip-gloss. It was crazy as I already have some 20 odd ones at home. And all of them come with an expiry date so I don't think I would be able to use them. What did you shop for in Switzerland? I bought the famous bell we saw in the film DDLJ for my home and some friends, T-shirts for my friends and dad, loads of chocolate, perfume, a cool mobile cover for my handset and some funky key chains. — HRM |

The year ahead
If your birthday is May 10...
This is the year of an extraordinary planetary commotion. Stars, especially Jupiter and Saturn, will be in transit between May and June. These will be some of the most exciting days of your life so far. This phase will not come in your astral chart for a very long time to come. Take care of your health this year, especially your blood sugar level and kidneys. Take care of your body fluids to keep your blood pure and healthy. Recovery will be slow if you fall ill. Co-operate with the doctor. Leave your stubbornness aside. You will be a dedicated and conservative person who loves his home and children. You will be sensible, down-to-earth and practical about love. The work assigned to you this year might test your expertise and knowledge. Put all efforts into this task. Its successful completion will bring many other offers your way. If pursuing studies abroad or in India, the time is favourable. Association with people of your age or younger is likely. Your birth date adds up to number 1. This number will play an important role. Hrishita Bhatt (May 10, 1981, Mumbai) shares her birthday with you. She appeared in Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, Out of Control, Haasil, Charas, Ab Tak Chhappan, Kisna, Jawani Diwani: Ankahee. She changed the spelling of her name to Hrishitaa, which did not help much. I think she must write Hrishita only and delete Bhatt from her name. Single name will have the perfect vibration with her date of birth. Her stars promise that she will bag more films. |
