The agitating Air India pilots showed no signs of returning to work for the third consecutive day today, leaving thousands of passengers grounded.The pilots even ignored stern warning of sacking by the management and the Delhi High Court's decision to initiate contempt proceedings against them and said they were ready to go to jail but won’t soften stand.

SC stays probe against Dinakaran

The Supreme Court today stayed the inquiry being conducted by a Rajya Sabha-appointed panel into charges of corruption and other irregularities against Sikkim High Court Chief Justice PD Dinakaran, observing that “justice should not only be done, but also seen to be done”.

Pakistan has given positive signals regarding granting India the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status. This was revealed by Commerce Secretary Rahul Khullar, who returned today after attending a two-day meeting with his Pakistani counterpart.
