In a confidence-building measure after PM’s cricket invite, visitors from PoK to J&K allowed to stay for six months
New Delhi, March 26
A day after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh invited Pakistani leaders to watch the India-Pakistan cricket match at Mohali on Wednesday, India, in a major a major Confidence-Building Measure (CBM), announced its decision to increase the duration of stay for visitors from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to Jammu and Kashmir (J & K) to six months.

4 more held in pilot licence scam
A senior official of the DGCA among those arrested
New Delhi, March 26
The crime branch of the Delhi Police has arrested four persons, including a senior official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and a pilot, in connection with the “fake pilot licence scam”. The arrested official, Pradeep Kumar, is an assistant director in the Directorate of Aircraft Engineering.

The government today said it would push for transition to semester system in all the universities so also a norms-based funding pattern to set the good universities apart from the not-so-good ones and create incentives for institutional improvement.
