Arun Shourie to face CBI in 2G scam
Tribune News Service

New Delhi, February 13
Former Communication Minister and senior BJP leader Arun Shourie has been summoned by the CBI for questioning on February 21 in connection with its investigation into the 2G scam, in which it has already arrested former Communication Minister A Raja and his two former aides.

Shourie claims he had alerted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and, subsequently, the investigating agencies, including the CBI, regarding the scam happening under the Raja’s reign, a claim which the ruling UPA has brushed aside.

A CBI official said their decision to summon Shourie arose as the Supreme Court had widened the scope of the probe, asking the agency to look into irregularities, if any, committed by the previous NDA government in the Spectrum allocation.
