No outsider involved in Aarushi’s murder: CBI

Ghaziabad, February 8
Circumstantial evidence points to the involvement of dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar in the death of their teenaged daughter Aarushi and servant Hemraj, the CBI today told a local court. Special Judge for CBI cases Preeti Singh, who heard the matter for about three-and-a-half hours, reserved her order till tomorrow.

“Our stand was that the probe of the Investigating Officer proves that no outsider was involved in this (Aarushi-Hemraj deaths). Servants are not involved in this and circumstantial evidence is pointing out that whatever has been done, parents only have done it,” CBI counsel RK Saini told the special CBI court here.

Speaking to reporters outside the court, Talwar's counsel Satish Tamta alleged that there were serious lapses in the probe conducted by the CBI. — PTI
