It’s for the simple fact that the music form has originated from Sufi shrines, which will be there till the world exists. “It’s important to understand the correlation between qawwali and spiritually, and even between qawwali and its popularity. Qawwali celebrates spirituality and with growing stress, people will resort to spiritually for relief. Thus, the music form will get popular,” explains Qadir Niazi.

Sunidhi loved singing with Enrique 
Bollywood singer Sunidhi Chauhan, known for her versatility, has gone global and recorded a track with Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias. She termed the experience “great” but felt there is not much difference in song recording in India and abroad. “The experience was great. I have already recorded the song. Unfortunately, I can’t talk much about it. But it’s in the process and will be out very soon,” Sunidhi said.
She and Enrique sang I Can Feel You, which has both Hindi and English lyrics. Sunidhi has also shot for a video with the Spanish singer for the song that is slated to be out this month.

Caterina to make Mumbai her home 
She is Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez's cousin and is all set to make a splash in Bollywood with an item number. Caterina Lopez loves being in Mumbai, is a Shah Rukh Khan fan, wants to learn Hindi and says she just might make India her second home.

Exhibition to showcase work by women
Life in a designer's lane is always fashion forward and layered with multiple hues. City-based designer and event manager Rashmi Bindra is one such designer who has to her credit some 20-odd exhibitions. Adding another feather to her cap, she is now coming up with an all-women products exhibition on March 6 and 7 at Hotel Mountview. While the exhibition will also felicitate women achievers from the city she says, "It's all about an idea and my idea is to bring forward the work of women who have been working behind the curtains." A lifestyle exhibition, this will showcase stalls from some 50-55 people from cities like Jaipur, Calcutta, Mumbai and Delhi.
