Hisar, December 12
A man hurled a shoe at the dais just as Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda began addressing a rally of Backward Classes here today.

The shoe landed on the platform erected for the music party in front of the dais. Stunned policemen immediately took the man away.

It is the second incident of its kind. On August 22, a jobless youth had hurled a shoe at Hooda during a rally at Mahendragarh. The footwear hurled by 21-year-old Shakti Singh had also fallen way short from where Hooda was addressing the rally.

The CM remained unnerved and continued his address, saying such elements were at times planted in the crowd by frustrated political elements.

Unofficial sources identified the man as ex-serviceman Ajit Singh from Kirmara village, near here, undergoing psychiatric treatment for the past six months.
