India, Japan likely to sign N-agreement
India is ready to seal a civil-nuclear deal and boost trade ties with Japan as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh embarked on the most significant part of his Asia tour that began on Sunday. Though the actual signing of the treaty will take a long time, both New Delhi and Tokyo will be discussing the issue so that it reaches its logical conclusion.

In what could be called a major security breach, Internet search engine Google has admitted spying on computer passwords and entire emails from households across Britain. The California-based company has, however, apologised for downloading personal data from wireless networks when its fleet vehicles drove down residential roads taking photos for its Street View project.

$1bn World Bank aid for Mission Ganga

The World Bank has agreed to provide $1 billion for the Mission Clean Ganga being implemented by the National Ganga River Basin Authority (NGRBA) headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for restoring the “wholesomeness” of the river system by minimising its pollution level, the Centre has informed the Supreme Court.
