New Delhi, October 9
With the high-flying Indian marksmen --- Gagan Narang and Vijay Kumar --- in top form, more records are set to tumble at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range here. In fact, it seems, there’s no stopping the duo, which is on a (wild) gold chase.

Both Gagan and Vijay have shared among themselves 7 gold medals so far. Gagan walked away with his fourth gold on Saturday after he raced to yet another new Games record in Singles 50 m Rifle 3 Positions with a score of 1262.2 that included 96.2 in the final shoot. It was in the second series of prone position that Gagan had a perfect 100.

Vijay, meanwhile, completed his glorious ‘golden triple’. He paired up with Harpreet Singh to win the gold in Pairs 25 centre fire pistol event this morning.

Gagan’s appetite for medals will continue as he has two more events to go - Pairs 50 m Rifle prone and Singles 50 m Rifle Prone. Going by his current form, there appears to be no one coming between him and the yellow metal.

He, however, has a stiff competition in form of Vijay, who would be eyeing his fourth gold tomorrow in the Singles 25m center fire pistol.
