Massive stocks of wheat found rotting in Uttarakhand
In a shocking disclosure, thousands of quintals of wheat stocks worth millions were found rotting at Food Corporation of India owned godown in Haldwani district of Uttarakhand. According to media reports, the grain stocks were meant for the consumption of flood-ravaged victims.

Police install CCTVs in Moradabad ahead of Ayodhya verdict
CCTV cameras have been installed in different parts of Moradabad to help police keep a strict vigil over the sensitive city, in the wake of Ayodhya case judgment, which is to be delivered on September 28 by the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court.

Curfew lifted from many parts of Kashmir Valley
Curfew was lifted on Saturday from many parts of Kashmir Valley while authorities announced relaxation in Srinagar city, where curbs had been reimposed in the wee hours following incidents of stone pelting. A police spokesman said that curfew has been lifted from Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian and Awantipora towns in South Kashmir and Handwara town in north Kashmir.

CWG Village work to be completed by Wednesday: Dikshit
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Sunday held an emergency and said that all Commonwealth Games Village related work including cleaning operations and refurbishment of athletes rooms would be completed by Wednesday. The meeting was attended by top officials including Cabinet Secretary KM Chandrashekhar, Organising Committee Chief Suresh Kalmadi and Delhi`s Lieutenant Governor Tejinder Khanna.
