The Tribune Ladakh Relief Fund
Readers give over ` 1.5 crore

The total sum of donations received for The Tribune Ladakh Relief Fund crossed over Rs 1.5 crore today. The readers of The Tribune have, indeed, responded generously to the appeal of The Tribune Trust and extended a helping hand to the people of Ladakh who needed assistance following the massive cloudburst in Leh on August 6, 2010, that caused widespread destruction.

The Tribune Ladakh Relief Fund is receiving donations, which are eligible for deduction under Section 80-G of the Income Tax Act. Donations should be in the form of crossed cheques or demand drafts payable to The Prime Minister's National Relief Fund and sent to The Tribune Trust, Sector 29-C, Chandigarh - 160 030 or to The Tribune offices at various places. These will be duly sent to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund at the earliest.

We are grateful to our readers, who have once again demonstrated their magnanimity by helping those in need.
