Heavy rains cripple normal life in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh
The fear of floods loom large in Delhi as the water of River Yamuna continues to flow well above the danger mark of 204.88 metres on Sunday, which has created a sense of worry amongst the locals in low lying areas. Rain is still coming down heavily in most parts of the city. The rainfall for the month of August has already broken a 10-year record. There has been more than 413 mm of rainfall in the city till now this month.

Citizens across the nation have called the lawmakers 'unworthy' of the three-fold increase in perks and allowances. Nuke Bill will enable access to clean power: Power minister
Backing Indian government over the Nuclear Liability Bill, India's power minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said on Monday the Bill will give access to clean energy. Shinde however did not completely rule out involvement of private companies into the business of nuclear power generation. India's cabinet cleared changes to the bill aimed at opening up the country's dollar 150 billion nuclear power market.
