Family feud claims lives of Addl AG, wife

Additional Advocate-General, Haryana, Sanjiv Sura (36) and his wife Sunita (32) were shot dead at their residence in DC Colony here shortly after midnight last night.

According to the police, the deceased was living on the first floor of his house while his younger brother Ankur occupied the ground floor.

Late in the night, Ankur allegedly called out his elder brother to come down. Both then went outside the house where Sanjiv was shot twice in the head and chest.

On hearing the shots, Sunita rushed to the help of her profusely bleeding husband, but was shot at. Both were taken to different hospitals where they were declared ‘brought dead’ by doctors.

Sanjiv’s mother told the police that the two brothers had a longstanding dispute over property.

Neighbours said they saw Ankur fleeing with his family in his car immediately after the incident. He was, however, arrested later in the evening.
