India gets access to 26/11-terror plotter David Headley
India has been given access to David Coleman Headley, Pakistani-American LeT operative who has confessed to his role in the Mumbai
attacks, US national security adviser James Jones said on
Saturday. Meanwhile, as the first India-US Strategic Dialogue came to an end on
Thursday, India's Foreign Minister S M Krishna in Washington on Friday also said that United States has assured India of getting access to Pakistani-American 26/11 terror plotter David Headley.

Gyaneshwari attack accused sent to 10 days remand of CIDA local court at Jhargram on Friday sent Khagen Mahato, the main accused in the Gyaneshwari train accident, which killed over 140 passengers and injured another 200 in West Bengal, to 10 days remand of Criminal Investigation Department (CID). West Bengal Police had arrested Mahato and also seized a commercial vehicle owned by him on Thursday. Khagen is a member of the Maoist-backed People’s Committee against Police Atrocities (PCPA).

Rajapaksa invites Indian businessmen to invest in Sri Lanka
Addressing a meeting of the India-Sri Lanka Business Forum at Colombo on Friday Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa called upon captains of Indian trade and industry to invest in the Emerald Island. President Rajapaksa said that the new areas and sectors have opened since the end of the conflict in his country, assuring local and foreign investors attractive and interesting opportunities.
