Within days of the Supreme Court declining to give any relief to the younger of the estranged Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani Ambani brothers — Anil Ambani — in the gas dispute, the two siblings have decided to bury their differences and create an environment of harmony, co-operation and collaboration between their groups.

Jawan injured as Pak troops target 8 forward posts 
Jammu, May 23
Pakistan troops today again violated the ceasefire and targeted at least eight Indian forward posts in Poonch district, 210 km north of Jammu. “The posts on the Line of Control (LoC) in the Krishna Ghati (KG) sector in Poonch district were engaged in heavy fire by Pak troops”, Brigadier-General Staff (BGS) of the 16 Corps, Brig Gurdeep Singh, told The Tribune.

IOC airlifts fuel to crisis-hit Manipur
Guwahati, May 23
The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has resorted to airlifting of petrol, diesel and kerosene to Imphal (Manipur) from here to tide over the acute fuel crisis in the landlocked state due to indefinite blockade at the arterial National Highway 39. Manipur government spokesman and Cabinet minister N Biren Singh today informed that it would take some more time for restoration of normal supply of petroleum fuels in the state. The IOC has requisitioned an IL76 aircraft of Indian Air Force (IAF) to airlift fuel to Imphal from Assam.

Maoists attack CRPF patrol
Kolkata, May 23
Maoists again attacked a CRPF patrol in Jangalmahal area of West Midnapore district in West Bengal yesterday prior to the gunning down of two CPM cadres at nearby Jhargram town. One CRPF personnel was also injured.

Indigenous combat copter takes to skies
Bangalore, May 23
The aviation disaster at Mangalore yesterday was followed by a tremendous achievement in the field of aviation when HAL raised the curtain on its indigenously developed Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) here today. The machine turned out to be a beauty - albeit a deadly one - capable of inflicting lethal damage on adversaries. It is armed with one 20 mm turret gun, 70 mm rockets, air-to-air missiles, air-to-surface missiles and iron and cluster bombs.
