We have a friendly relationship with Iran.

We both took certain positions on some issues which were not to each other’s liking.

We would not like to compromise on non-proliferation.

They registered their concern and disappointment at our stand.

Assessment of nuclear swap deal only after we know the details.

By and large, India is against the sanctions route.

We must eliminate the trust deficit.

The only way forward is to get back to the negotiating table.

Let us remember that we are two nuclear powers.

The Taliban and other terrorist outfits are active even in Pakistan against the establishment.

India’s national interest comes first and we would have friendly and cordial relations with Pakistan and with all the neighbours.

President Karzai has been very friendly towards India.

India went to Afghanistan on the invitation of the legitimate government.

We went with aid to rebuild the nation, not with guns.

We build school buildings and roads.

Afghanistan and India will not keep away from each other.

When Secretary Clinton, came to Delhi we decided to raise the level of our relationship to strategic partnership.

US Administration was able to see India’s point of view and appreciate India’s concern about terror.

Terror can strike anywhere.

Negotiations are going on and the nitty-gritty as to how we make the civil nuclear treaty workable.
