Mumbai, May 18
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued notices to six cricketers from the Indian team for their alleged involvement in pub brawl with fans at a pub in St Lucia shortly after crashing out of the T20 World Cup.

The notice signed by BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan, was sent to Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Rohit Sharma, Piyush Chawla and Ravindra Jadeja. The board's decision to crackdown on the players came after team manager Ranjib Biswal briefed Srinivasan and board president Shashank Manohar on the incident.

Biswal reportedly told senior board officials that the cricketers left their hotel rooms without permission from him on the pretext of going out for dinner. The cricketers went to a pub where they were heckled by fans for crashing out of the tourney. The cricketers allegedly retaliated to taunts, resulting in a fracas where at least one of the players had his shirt torn, according to reports.
