Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh again laid the ground rules for resuming comprehensive talks with Pakistan on all issues by stating that “the minimum” requirement is that Pakistan “takes credible steps to bring the perpetrators of the horrible crime of 26/11 to book.”

7 killed during last Shahi Snan
Haridwar, April 14
After more that three months of a peaceful conduct of the Maha Kumbh, a tragedy struck the mega fair in Haridwar on the last Shahi Snan when seven persons, including four women, were killed in an accident and subsequent violence and stampede at the Chandi Ghat crossing today.

120 dead as storm hits WB, Bihar, Assam

At least 120 persons were killed and over 200 injured when a severe nor’wester packed with a wind speed of 125 kmph raged for 40 minutes through North Dinajpur district in West Bengal, four neighbouring districts of Bihar and five in Assam.
