Congress calls Anju’s statement on Babri case, crucial
Reacting to the senior police officer Anju Gupta’s remarks on BJP’s senior leader LK Advani’s speech regarding Babri demolition case, in Rea Bareilly court on Friday, Congress termed the statement as crucial in convicting the guilty. However, the BJP refused to comment by contending the matter is subjudice. Meanwhile, the public prosecutor in the Rae Bareilly court said that the judge had fixed April 23 for further hearing.

releases 17 Pakistan nationals at Wagah border
Personnel of India's paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday handed over 17 Pakistan nationals at the Wagah Border check in Punjab
state. The interned Pakistanis, released on the recommendations of India-Pakistan Judicial Committee on
Prisoners, crossed over to their homeland from the border check post at
Wagah. The Pakistan nationals were an elated lot since they were leaving for their homes after several years and in some cases after more than a decade.
