Situation in AP has altered: Chidambaram
New Delhi, December 23
In a move that appears to put the creation of new Telangana state perpetually in cold storage, the Centre today said it wanted to consider “all views” on the demand for the separate state, while appealing to all political parties and students to “maintain peace and harmony” in Andhra Pradesh.

At a time when demands for separate states were raking up much controversy in the country, the Justice Saghir Ahmed Working Group on Centre-State Relationship has recommended “restoration of autonomy to the extent possible” in the light of the Kashmir Accord reached between late Indira Gandhi and late Sheikh Abdullah.
