Bhiwani, December 4
The police today booked the principal and a teacher of Government Senior Secondary School, Bawani Khera, in this district on the charge of indulging in obscene behaviour with girl students under Sections 363, 366 and 509, IPC.

While the principal has been arrested, the arrest of the teacher could not be ascertained. Two more teachers of the school have been suspended in the case.

According to the police, trouble arose this morning when parents of several girls, who recently returned from an educational tour to Jaipur, complained that the principal and a teacher had made obscene remarks during their stay in the Pink City.

Angry parents stormed the office of the principal this morning and assaulted him. Teachers who had accompanied the girls on the tour were also assaulted. They were rescued by the police.

The girls, all students of Class XII, complained that the women teachers accompanying them did not intervene when the principal tried to engage them in obscene conversation. They also alleged that one of them backed the principal’s lewd remarks.
