Cyclone fury hits Arabian Sea
Ahmedabad/Panaji/Mumbai, November 11

Headley effect: Five states on terror alert 
New Delhi, November 11
In the backdrop of American terror suspect David Headley’s several visits to India, the Centre today warned five states, including Uttarkhand and Maharashtra, against terrorist attacks particularly targeting military training academies.

Low yield: Govt may up basmati MEP

Reeling under a shortfall of almost 15 million tonnes in rice production during this kharif marketing season (KMS), the government is now considering raising the Minimum Export Price (MEP) of basmati by at least $ 100 per tonne. The move would not only discourage export of basmati but also ease the prices in the domestic market.

Beijing to deliver 36 fighter jets to Pak
Islamabad, November 11
In a major move to boost its air warfare capability, Pakistan is set to purchase 36 J-10 fighter aircraft from China in a deal worth more than $1.4 billion, with options open for induction of more similar aircraft.
