Allow us to fire on Naxals in self-defence: IAF

Less than a year after Naxals fired at an IAF chopper and killed a Sergeant, Air Chief Marshal PV Naik today said permission had been sought from the Ministry of Defence to open retaliatory fire at Maoists if any IAF helicopter or its crew came under attack.

Beijing’s visa move upsets India

In what is clearly seen as an attempt by Beijing to question the status of Jammu and Kashmir, China has started issuing stamped visas to Indian passport holders from the state on separate sheets and not on their passports.
