Shun terror as state policy, PM tells Pak
Pittsburgh, September 26
Ahead of Indo-Pak Foreign Ministers meeting in New York, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said India sought to normalise relationship with Pakistan but the latter should shed its mindset of using terror as an instrument of state policy against New Delhi and take action against those involved in the Mumbai terror attacks.

US: NPT resolution not anti-India
Pittsburgh/NY, September 26
The US today assured India that the UN Security Council resolution on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) issue is not directed against it and will not affect the Indo-US nuclear deal.

Power situation worsens
Ludhiana, September 26
The power supply position in the state has worsened during the past three days and the domestic feeders are being subjected to eight-hour power cuts and the industry is facing two to three days’ compulsory weekly off.
