A sea of humanity poured in today to bid tearful farewell to the charismatic former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who died in a helicopter crash over Nallamala forest area in Kurnool district on Wednesday.

India today chided Pakistan for describing its latest dossier on the Mumbai attacks as a rehash of information which was provided to Islamabad in previous dossiers. AI plane catches fire, passengers safe
Mumbai, September 4
Two hundred and thirteen passengers and crew on board Air India flight AI-829 from Mumbai to Riyadh had a miraculous escape after a fire broke out in the engine below the left wing shortly before the take off. As the Boeing 747-437, named Konark, was being pushed back in preparation for a take off at around 10.50 am a passenger on board noticed sparks coming out of an engine and raised an alarm.

For a state that has gained the dubious distinction of leading the country in female foeticide, issues concerning members of the fairer sex appear to be of little concern to Punjab, which has yet to implement a host of schemes for women and the girl child launched by the central government.
