New Delhi, August 25
The special cell of the Delhi Police today claimed to have arrested a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative holding a Pakistani passport, along with a Jammu and Kashmir voter identity card, from the New Delhi Railway Station.

The police recovered explosives, four detonators and two timers, along with a train ticket to Maharashtra, from the 25-year-old man’s possession, identified as Saleem Mohammad, alias Yusuf. “We arrested an LeT operative from the Ajmeri Gate terminal of New Delhi Railway Station and have recovered some chemicals and explosives from his possession,” said PN Aggarwal, Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Cell).

“We are questioning him to know where was he going, his motive and plans in the capital,” Aggarwal added.
