Actor Shahid Kapoor was in the city for promotion of his upcoming release Kaminey
The ‘f’ word is suddenly a blast. The ‘f’ word is legal. The ‘f’ word is the new ‘s’. And does Fahid Kapoor mind! He lisps, he means to say ‘s’ and ends up saying ‘f’ and is adding yet another word to our options—
Kaminey.Shahid Kapoor, surprising the city with a visit on Saturday, smiles, throwing a devil’s tinge into it, and admits: “Well, I am one of the Kaminey right now.I am living Kaminey day in and out, which makes me one. Infact, Kaminey mein sab kaminey hain”. And that draws many smiles out of this audience at Mountview. But we still can’t get over the title of this latest Vishal Bhardwaj film, he is here to promote and which is set for the August 14 release.
Direct dil se…
Vishal Bhardwaj as a director: A dangerous guy. He is known to give actors roles, which probably they have never tried in their lives. He does everything on his own, direction, scripting and songs. I am thankful he left the dancing for me in
Dhan-Te-tan.
Shahid as an actor or
dancer: Shahid, the actor
A role from Vishal’s movies he would want to
do: Main papa ka Maqbool ka character barbaad kardunga. I would want to play Irrfan’s character.

Success just happens and is boring to talk about, says Shah Rukh
Want to know what the superstar of Bollywood has to say about the mantra for success? Well its simple...There is absolutely no mantra to success, it just happens and often from the wrong decisions, says iconic actor Shahrukh Khan."Success just happens, it is not an experience from which we learn or gain. There is no mantra or formula for it and it is boring to hear success stories," said

Katrina, Lara turn down Govinda's offer
Bollywood's leading ladies Katrina Kaif and Lara Dutta turned down veteran actor Govinda's request to star opposite him in a small cameo in the upcoming film Life Partner. The actor is in a state of shock. He had taken the onus of convincing a prominent leading lady to pair up with him for a special cameo. He had hoped his tinsel town friends Lara and Katrina would agree to play this small but significant part, sources close to the film said."But when he approached them, they cited date problems. A small role coupled with the actor's flagging fortunes as a star might not have excited the B-town girls," they said.

Wearing the right colour can easily lift your mood. But how would one know what colour can do the trick for them? Veronique Henderson, creative director of Colour Me Beautiful, Europe's leading image consultants has now detailed what colour suits your personality best.
Her list of colours is as follows:
Red
hot: Red is associated with action, vitality and courage. "If you are red-headed or have warm highlights make sure your chosen red is yellow-based. Think orange red or tomato. If you are pale and blonde go for a watermelon red. Those with dark hair and dark eyes should wear true reds and rubies," The Daily Express quoted Veronique as saying.
Block busters
The interior fashion trend this season spells a riot of
colour
Block colours were all over the catwalk for spring and summer 2009 interiors, and it was fashionistas who took notice of the trend. So it's goodbye to fussy, floral patterns and hello to bright confident, sometimes clashing, blocks of
colour. And the joy of this trend is that it doesn't matter what colours you choose as long as there are plenty of them and you can swap them about when you are bored.

I know we are trying hard to get rid of plastic pollution and Chandigarh has successfully managed to hold onto the polybag ban. However, Chandigarh traders have some unique ways of cheating on the government and the policies. On a recent trip to a new and fancy supermarket, I was surprised to find that they handed me my goods in a plastic bag. On my way out, I asked the attendant. He pointed out that technically it was not a carry bag, since it lacked carry handles or the holes. It was a packaging bag. Cheating ingenuity is ubiquitous.I was baffled on my very first visit to a shop selling electrical goods in
Chandigarh. They asked me if I wanted to get a pukka bill or a kuccha bill. I was unaware of this diversity. It is a common practice here not to issue a 'Real' receipt although they take your real money and if you insist on one, the shopkeepers make a face and wonder about your stupidity. And the big shops play the same game as well.
