No softening on terror: PM
Defends joint statement, says engagement with Pak vital for peace in South Asia
New Delhi, July 29
Invoking his predecessor Atal Behari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today silenced the critics of his recent foreign policy initiatives in the Opposition, asserting that there was no dilution in India’s stand on terror while strongly pitching for remaining engaged with Pakistan in larger interest of peace in South Asia.

For the third consecutive day today the state Assembly witnessed unruly scenes with the PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti rejecting the CBI report giving a clean chit to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in 2006 sex scandal case and demanding a judicial probe into the allegations made by her party, prompting the Speaker to adjourn the House.

Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher is making a sensational return to Formula One, Ferrari announced today.
