Heard of baby baubles, push presents or babymoon? Well, they are the rewards that come with being a mum, writes Mona
To all those men who thought they are over with their expensive jewellery-showering obligations once they’ve walked down the aisle, here’s a wake-up call. Women love gifts and they look for occasions to ‘net’ them. At present, they are riding high on their recent discovery: ‘Push presents’ (name derived from undergoing the pain of labour, doesn’t mean at all that C-section moms don’t deserve the present) or simply ‘baby baubles.’
‘Push presents’ commemorate birth of a baby and are the latest gift-giving tradition.

She made it happen for you. She got up from her sleep to check whether you were snoring away to glory. She made the dinner with love, which you refused saying you had had it at your friends place already. She suppressed her almost essential needs so that you had enough money to lavishly satisfy your desires. She stopped you from hanging out with ‘some’ of your friends she didn’t approve of, and you conveniently ignored.
