The
UPA coalition in Bihar today appeared to be in trouble
after the RJD and LJP divided 37 of the total 40 Lok Sabha
seats between themselves and the dissatisfied Congress
announcing to contest as many seats as possible. Ignoring
the Congress’ demand for 11 seats, the two left only
three constituencies for their bigger ally in the UPA.

is no change in the basics in Pakistan by HK Dua
Congratulations
will certainly be in order for the lawyers and the civil

restoration of a Chief Justice and the dilution of the
unconstitutional powers President Asif Ali Zardari had inherited
from his predecessor, Gen. Pervez Musharraf.

Problems kept mounting for the BJP
with Arun Jaitley continuing to boycott the Central Election Committee

for the second day here today. Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa

Polls 2009 Getting voter
I-card an ordeal Jalandhar, March 17
Climbing the stairs of the district
administrative complex (DAC) for the fifth time in three hours, I
realised the ordeal of a common person in procuring a voter I-card. The
thought that there is a vast difference between the appeals of the
government to go in for the cards and the working of the babus, who
actually prepare them, also crossed my mind.
